BassTard - Free Bass Vst Instrument

BassTard is a monophonic subtractive synthesizer, designed to put out ground-shattering low frequency content.

BassTard was created around simplicity, delivering only the parameters needed to sculpt your perfect bass sound. Every major parameter has MIDI learn functionality, via the right mouse button.

Oscillators:
At the core of BassTard's engine is a pair of unique oscillators, both with variable waveforms from a selection of shapes created with sub-woofer rattling bass sounds in mind. The unique waveshape morphing parameters allow you to create almost endless combinations of waveforms, enabling you to create individual flare for each sound. Each of the oscillators runs through an ADSR envelope before reaching the filter stage.

Filters:
The first filter is a "Moog" styled low-pass filter, controlled by the Filter Envelope section, and optionally via keyboard velocity and note. The second has variable filter types, designed to add overtones to the original filter, it is also optionally controlled via keyboard note tracking.

Filter Envelope:
The Filter Envelope section was not only crafted with the idea of being able to create the tightest of filter curves, but also with the ability to function as an LFO modulator, for warping bass sounds. This is easily achieved by adjusting the settings via the right mouse button menu.

Equaliser:
BassTard comes equipped with a simple to use parametric EQ with spectrum analysis, to help identify erroneous frequencies and further sculpt your perfect bass tone. The idea was that often an EQ plays a very integral role in the construction of a bass patch, and to be able to save and operate all the parameters within one host would be a key feature in finding the sound you want quickly and effortlessly.

Transient Shaper:
Second last in the signal path is a transient shaper, to balance or accentuate the peaks or dips of the total dynamic range of your sound. The transient shaper functions slightly differently from a regular envelope in that rather than the parameters controlling time based functions, they control the amplitude of either the peak or dip.

Compressor:
Finally, for good measure, we added a dual-band compressor into the chain. The compressor is able to smooth out the most aggressive of basslines, or bring out roaring harmonics from soothing tones. It has a dry/wet parameter, allowing you to dial in just the right amount of compression needed to compliment your sound perfectly.

Venom VB-303 is inspired by the classic Roland 303 Bass Line synthesizer.

TheVB-303 Synthesizer has a very simple single-voice structure. TheSequencer controls the synthesizer using 3 signals: Gate / Pitch /Accent. It's possible to bypass the pattern sequencer and use the VB-303as a monophonic synthesizer. There are a few controls on the rearpanel:

Burt - Free Bass Vsti

Noisebud needed a bass synth that delivered more grit and dirt and didn't need hours of twiddling before getting there. They based the sound engine on waveshaping through distortion, bit crush and resonance.
since their VST fx chains on bass channels almost always contain that sort of plug-ins. The result is an angry old fart named Burt. He can get so angry that his audio buffers overflow and get silent - you have to restart your DAW to cool him down but don't worry, Burt will start to scream again.

IMP-OSC-TOR - Free Bass Vst

This is a small and quite simple freeware synth with fairly low CPU-usage designed by NekroBat using Outsim Synth|Maker. Despite its simple design and appearance it is capable of creating many types of sounds, especially bass-sounds (for which it was intended).

By the way, The name has nothing to do with any other synth with IMP-OSC in its name, it is only a name I chose for this one (I somehow just like the word "Osc" being fused into my synths names).

Features:

2 Oscillators with individual detuners. The Oscillators sports 5 waveforms (Saw,Saw-Square,Square,Square-Ramp,Ramp). Osc 1 can modulate Osc 2 in various ways (Phaze, Freq, Ring and Amplitude modulation). It can also perform Filter-Fm. Osc 2 can be synced to Osc 1. Both Oscillators have Phaze- and Pwm-knobs for such modulation (which can also be modulated with the LFO:s)

1 Multi-mode Filter with lots of Filter-types. The Filters Cut-off can be modulated by the dedicated ADSR-envelope, the mod-wheel, the LFO:s or Osc 1.

2 ADSR-envelopes. One controlling the Filter-cutoff and the other the synths Amplitude.

2 Multi-mode LFO:s. They have each 5 waveforms (Sine,Saw,Triangle,Square and Ramp) and have 2 Speed-selections (slow,Fast) or Step-select.They can be set to be free-running or to restart.The LFO:s are BPM-controlled via the preset-manager* and have many destination possibilities (and also the choice of controlling 2 at the same time if you want).

2 Effects (Delay, Chorus). The Delay has 2 types (Ping-pong, Echo) and the Chorus can be used as a flanger via the Feed-knob.

20 Presets of sounds + 1 Init-patch. In the preset-manager you will find a voice-selector for up to 8-voices of polyphony. If only 1 voice is selected then the Portamento knob will be activated next to the Main-out knob. In the preset-manager you can also alter the BPM and

the pitch-bend amount by retyping in a new value. Of course you can also find a file-selector

which is used to Load or Save your own presets (the preset-name can also be retyped by clicking

the current name). * (Please note this: When you change the BPM it is a good thing to tweak the LFO:s speed-knobs and then tweak it back to your chosen speed for the change to take effect.)

Also note that the synth can be played using the QWERTY-keyboard.
